God called Diane to lead us to reach the sex workers around Crown Street in Liverpool city centre. For 5 years every other Friday night she gathered a team to demonstrate God's love by giving out sandwiches and hot drinks and by showing vulnerable women kindness, respect and friendship. We felt it was time to stop this ministry, especially as another local church has recently started doing the same ministry.
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives..." Isaiah 61:3
We are praying that we will have another expression of reaching the poor again as God leads.
