God has been speaking to us about a new momentum, "that we're rolling a large snowball up the hill and we're nearly at the top." There is no place too hard for the Lord to grow his church; it might seem hard work to us sometimes, but nothing is too hard for the Lord.
We are focussing on getting guests through Pub Quizes, Alpha Courses, Great Sunday meetings, regular socials and lots of prayer. We're helping our guests to become part of us by welcoming them warmly into our midweek groups and /or our Alpha Course. We run a Joining the Church course 3 times a year to help those who want to know more about Jesus and what he has shown us to do as a church.
Every first time visitor receives a gift of Terry Virgo's excellent sermon "God's Lavish Grace".
As we have just sent out some of our best leaders recently, we are particularly praying that God will send in his hand picked labourers, to help us advance the kingdom and bring in the harvest. Our next step is to grow a vibrant 200 strong church in Liverpool. We then plan to start our next church in Kirkby. So we are praying for growth, believing for growth, planning for growth and training up leaders to take care of the increase. We know that God gives the increase and that he builds his church and the gates of hell will not prevail against us.
